"The trail is really bringing a balance to our students because they need to be connected with the land."

“Hwuy'xwet Pune'luxutth” is hul'qumi'num for “Opening Penelakut.”

This is a documentary featurette (46-min) focused on a trail building initiative for youth on Penelakut Island, on the west coast of British Columbia, Canada. The film was shot in a slightly chaotic week with a skeletal crew. Huge thanks to both the community for welcoming me in, and also to RaceFace for giving me the space to do my thing.
